Negative behaviour>Presenting behaviours

Within a school, it's important for there to be agreement on the levelling of behaviour and which behaviours go where. For example, I have worked with schools where the staff think it's worse for a child to swear at another child than at a teacher.  Personally, I think it's the other way round but it's important to have this discussion early on.
As to the behaviours chosen, I would advocate 8 behaviours for each level, with some behaviours escalating through the levels.

This means coming up with 24 significant negative behaviours, some of which being duplicated in severity and then a sorting out into the three levels;

Low, Medium and High, Blue, Yellow and Pink

If a behaviour isn't appropriate for your school then simply don't include it or simply change it

Here's a list of 24 I use but change frequently when working with teachers
